Software license and service boundaries
Community software
with clear limits
Trakt MCP is an independent community project. This page explains its current software license and operational limits. It is not a completed, owner-approved hosted-service agreement or a statement of directory eligibility.
Software license
The repository and plugin package are licensed under GNU GPL version 3 only. The license governs copying, modification, distribution, and its warranty limitations. Dependency licenses apply separately. Trakt names and third-party content are not granted additional trademark or content rights by this repository’s software license.
Using the hosted connection
Use your own authorized Trakt account and comply with Trakt’s terms and your AI provider’s rules. The service offers supported Trakt reads and explicitly requested writes, including list, watchlist, rating, history, and collection changes. Writes require a connection with write permission. Review the target and effect before requesting a change; an operation can have partial results or an uncertain outcome if the connection fails. No automatic rollback or recovery guarantee is provided. The integration does not grant streaming rights or guarantee that a recommended title is available to watch.
Availability depends on the operator, Cloudflare, Trakt, and your client. There is no stated uptime SLA. Upstream limits or errors can prevent a request from completing. Review data handling and support options before connecting.
Before a public directory submission
The owner identifies the publisher as SwackTech LLC. Before submission, the owner must complete platform identity verification and confirm applicable permissions, geographic availability, and final privacy and hosted-service terms. Repository installation does not mean Anthropic, OpenAI, or Trakt has approved this integration.
